Quarterly Dinner Meeting
The Boardman Civic Association will be holding its first Dinner Meeting of 2008 at the Boardman Park Community Center on March 10, 2008 at 6:30pm. Please RSVP to Gary J. Diorio at (330) 744-1790 or via email at gdiorio@msconsultants.com no later than March 3, 2008. Guests are welcome with a $9.00 charge per guest for dinner. We hope to see you there!
The BCA's first dinner of 2008 was a complete success, while awarding several community individuals and companies The Best Remodeled Building, Best New Building and Most Outstanding Citizen awards. The Best Remodeled Building went to The Saturn of Boardman Dealership. Architect for the project was Lou Zarlenga and the award was accepted by Bill Burns. The Best New Building award was received by O' Charley's Restaurant. The architect was Kim Philips and Tobin Spade accepted the award. The Most Outstanding Citizen award was awarded to the late Lou Young. His daughter, Denise Young-Nycz on his behalf, accepted it.

Scholarship Awards
The Boardman Civic Association held their Academic Achievement Banquet on Monday, May 19, 2008 at Antone’s Banquet center in Boardman. The Scholarship Awards dinner was given for high school students in the Boardman Township area. The BCA awarded monetary scholarships to graduating honor students from local high schools to use as they continue on to their college education. The students who received this award from Boardman were; Austin Clark, Michael Fountaine and Joy Mistovich. Mara Luongo accepted the award from Mooney High School. The event speaker was Thomas Petzinger, Jr. The BCA is very proud to announce these winners and would like to thank all who attended and sponsored the event.

Quarterly Dinner Meeting
The Boardman Civic Association will be hosting its 2007 Quarterly Meeting on Monday, September 17th at the Community Center in Boardman Township Park. The buffet dinner will be served at 6:30pm. It is “Candidate’s Night”, so each candidate will have a turn to speak followed by a brief question and answer period. If you are attending as a paid-up BCA member, your dinner is already paid for. There will be a $10.00 charge for any guest not seeking to become a member. Membership application forms will be available at the meeting. Please make your reservations no later than Thursday, September 13th by emailing dcrivelli@twp.boardman.oh.us or by calling (330) 726-9736.

“State of the State” BCA Meeting
The Boardman Civic Association will be hosting its “State of the State” meeting on November 19th, 2007 at 6:30pm in the Boardman Park Community Center. The State Rep. chosen to speak is Ron Gerberry. Guests and prospective members are welcomed!
