Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Candidates and Issues Election Forum on Monday, September 16. It was a great success with over 100 individuals in attendance! BCA wants to give a special thank you to all of the representatives who came out and spoke.

Don’t Miss BCA’s Annual Candidates and Issues Forum
The premier local election forum on ballot initiatives and candidates for local, county-wide, and regional positions is set for Monday, September 16, 2024, at Boardman Park’s Lariccia Family Community Center. BCA is pleased to present this popular annual event once again to assist residents in obtaining information about candidates and issues concerning our area.
Speakers will present their issues and candidate qualifications, the case for their support, and answer questions if time permits.
Representatives have been invited to speak on the following four issues:
- Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County Renewal Levy
- Boardman Township Park Renewal Levy
- Boardman Township Renewal Levy
- Boardman Township Additional Levy
Also, speakers have been invited for the following races:
- Ohio Senate 33rd District
- Ohio House 58th District
- Mahoning County Commissioner Jan 2, 2025
- Mahoning County Commissioner Jan 3, 2025
- Mahoning County Clerk of Courts
- Mahoning County Prosecutor
- Mahoning County Recorder
- Mahoning County Treasurer
Doors will open at 5:00 PM, with dinner at 5:30 in the Stambaugh Room and the Election Forum to follow in the Rotary Room at 6:00 PM. Non-BCA members wishing to attend the dinner can join us for $20.00 per person and must have a reservation. Dinner is included in Boardman Civic Association members’ dues. Reservations can be made by Thursday, September 12 by emailing mharris1421@yahoo.com. The Forum is free and open to the public.

Thank You for A Great Event — Candidates & Issues Forum
The Boardman Civic Association held its annual Candidates and Issues Forum on Monday, September 18. Those who attended heard from many great speakers who presented their issues or candidate qualifications.
The BCA event had representatives speak on the following issues:
- Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board (renewal)
- Mahoning County Children Services (replacement)
- Boardman Township Park (renewal)
Also, we heard from speakers for the following races:
- Mahoning County Educational Service Center
- Boardman Local School District
